What do you enjoy most about working with older adults? I enjoy hearing their stories. I feel their life experience and lessons learned are a great tool for use in therapy.

Why do you think online therapy is effective for older adults? I feel it is effective because older adults might not drive any longer or have access to consistent transportation. It can also be conducted at a time that is most convenient and from the comfort of their own home.

How do you approach therapy sessions? I always "check in" and start where the client is at the beginning of each session. What is your advice to someone who is starting therapy for the first time?

My advice would be to give it some time. There are no magic solutions but if you put in the effort, you will get results. I would also suggest to communicate with your therapist if you feel you are not getting what you need.

Building the rapport and relationship is the most important thing.
